This term has been a great one and I have enjoyed many things like APS, maths and reading the class novel, out of my mind. Since this is term 1 everyone has been getting to know each other. I have made lots of friends this term as well.

One of the things I have enjoyed has been APS. You’re probably wondering what APS is. It is pretty much sport. In APS this term we have done rotations of activities like rock climbing, swimming and cycling. At the end of it we did triathlons. We did 4 triathlons over 2 afternoons. The triathlons included 200m of swimming, 1km of cycling and 500m of running. I did okay in the triathlon. The running is the area I found hard.

Another one of the things I enjoyed was maths. I improved quite a bit in this area. One of the thing I learned was how to multiply and divide fractions even with whole numbers. I have also learned the lattice and box strategy for multiplication.

The other thing I enjoyed was reading the class novel, out of my mind. Out of my Mind was about an intelligent girl who had cerebal pausy. The girl is called Melody. Melody dreams of being a normal kid and she wants to be on the school quiz team. She makes and her team gets through to the national round of the competition. They are planning to go to Washington for the competition but there are complications. The book gets sad in the last few chapters because her sister has an injury.
